About the Event

I’ve been working with youth and families since I was a teenager myself, finding my way while helping others. It’s been a long time coming, but after 25 years of wanting this degree, I’m headed to graduate school for a Masters in Social Work through Boston University. The plan is to continue teaching at Buxton but move to part time and then continue working full time with Amrita Lash Pottery. I’m completely thrilled and excited for September to arrive. Sometimes I do get nervous but then remember that I got to this point from a lot of hard work and it’s happening at exactly the right moment in life. So, I choose to lean into that trust and to lean into the inner knowing that life is unfolding as it should. Working with youth through Kripalu, Bennington, and Buxton have been training grounds for me over the years — personally and professionally. Thanks to all my mentors in life and my good friends who helped me get to this place. I’m also grateful for all the hardships. Challenges definitely do make you stronger. It feels like there’s a mountain in my heart and a river in my soul. ❤️❤️❤️ From here on out know that when you buy pottery from me you are helping me pay for graduate school so I can be of service in our community in new and various ways. This world is ripe for change and I’m ready to be a part of that positive, radical change.
