Back at it! Michelle's getting half marathon fit after a busy year.

About the Event
Last year I took the year off of running - not enough time with planning a wedding and not enough money to pay for any races. I miss being half marathon fit and this year I will get back there. It’s hard to train at all during hunt season because my days are super long, but I did get out for my first run in almost a year on Sunday and felt pretty great about it. I have been doing my PiYo videos to help me stay a little fitter, and of course all the horse riding helps but my goal is to be able to run 13 miles again by the beginning of June.
June 26th Update: So I had changed my goal of half marathon fit by the beginning of June to half marathon fit by my 40th (😱) birthday (August 9th). This morning I ran 9 miles! I only need to be able to run 4 more than that in a little more than a month to hit my goal!! I’ll probably see if I can enter a virtual race (I run for beer at the finish line, free t-shirts and finishers medals lol) that I can complete on my day off before my birthday. My run this morning was surrounded by beautiful scenery and gorgeous weather that I mostly ignored because I was too busy sweating, swearing and jiggling but I FINISHED THE DANG RUN. Huge shout out to my husband who put a water bottle out for me at mile 6!
